System Christians Render God and The Things That Are God's Unto the System

To learn that one of the world's leading Bible scholars believes the hope of Easter involves rolling up your sleeves and joining the World Economic Forum to provide help where it is most needed was a real moment of clarity and confirmation for me.

The standard practice of labeling Christians as progressive, liberal, radical, conservative, traditional or whatever else has been rendered obsolete. As far as I'm concerned, the successful global totalitarian coup of 2020 has cleaved Christians into two distinct camps: System Christians and Non-System Christians.

Generally speaking, System Christians adhere to the fundamental necessity of the System in fulfilling and promoting the establishment of heaven on earth, which they believe to be Christianity's primary goal. The focus on this-worldliness tends to render the afterlife as little more than an afterthought in the minds of most System Christians.

System Christians aim to work within the institutional, organizational, and bureaucratic frameworks the System offers because they are convinced "good works" can only be achieved through such means.

System Christians believe the divine mission of Christianity is somehow wedded to the System and that Christianity possesses the power to transform the System into an earthly kingdom of God. System Christians yearn to secure a place at the global governing table of public-private partnership in order to help manifest this vision (presuming they honestly believe in the vision).

System Christians outsource their thinking entirely to the System and its latest flavor of leftism. Thus, any input they offer the System rarely, if ever, rises above the level of echoing or parroting the System's output; more specifically, the trending and topical talking points, platitudes, and plans surrounding issues such as climate change, anti-racism, equity/equality, reformed capitalism, mass migration, etc.

System Christians welcome and strive after titles, positions, and careers within the various branches of the System as well as ample opportunities to appear in media, participate in think tanks, sit as members in councils and institutes, and so on.

System Christians are drawn to and driven by altruistic impulses like the universal love of humanity and are often enamored by materialist, communistic ideologies. The universal love of humanity System Christians carry before them like a banner entails the near-universal tolerance of evil and sin - because judgmental is the one thing System Christians do not want to be perceived as, provided this does not pertain to anything opposed to the System, in which case System Christians will feel obliged to judge with extreme prejudice.

System Christians do not believe in "rendering unto Caesar the things that are Caeser's, and unto God the things that are God's". In their minds, it is far more lucrative and efficient to render God and the things that are God's unto the System.

That last line above sums up System Christian well. All System Christians put the System before God. For some, the System has become  a god.

The big problem with System Christians is quite obvious - the System they follow is directly and purposively opposed to God.

Hence, when the Antichrist does emerge, it will likely be from within the folds of System Christianity.

The other side of Christianity is occupied by a presumably much smaller number of Non-System Christians, but I'll leave delving into that for another day.

That sounds right. But maybe they should be called Christian Systems - to reflect which is fundamental... No, that doesn't really work! - but it does seem to give them too much credit to assume that System is modifying Christian, when clearly it is the other way around.

But Not to support the System - as we ought not - is a strange thing I find as I strive for it. I seem to come across a lot of situations in which I am in the position of being asked to form a judgment between some act of Sorathic vandalism, or else supporting some aspect of the System which I know is evil-motivated (overall and increasingly). The proper attitude seems to be acceptance - in a what will be will be kind of spirit; trying to seek above the issue as presented.

Another thing always to try and understand the motivations *behind* the 'issues'. Often these seem quite clear - and the actual issue is revealed as a double-bind trap.

@ Bruce - To me it feels as if System Christians have given up on the divine-human development of consciousness required to fulfill Christ's mission (if they ever believed in it at all) - that what Christ offers is too high and difficult for man - not only theosis, but salvation as well; that the relationship required to fulfill the development of consciousness can never be established; that it has failed.

In this sense, System Christians appear to have abandoned the divine potential within man; something they likely regard as noble, but unattainable. In their eyes, man is weak and helpless. As a result, the only course of reasonable action is to continue building the Tower of Babel via the System under the banner of earthly bread. They claim to be working to ease suffering and pain and establish universal happiness and universal unity on earth. In my estimation, System Christians are very much like Dostoevsky's Grand Inquisitor. They aim to correct Christ's work. Of course, D's Grand Inquisitor very frankly admits who he is working with - and that being is not Christ.

I find our situation spiritually invigorating! The long years of slow decline and complacency have been shocked out of us.

Good post.

I especially like your point in this paragraph:

"System Christians aim to work within the institutional, organizational, and bureaucratic frameworks the System offers because they are convinced 'good works' can only be achieved through such means."

They forget that for thousands of years, people did good works in ways that had no resemblance to the framework of the System.

@ NLR - Yes, it's difficult to comprehend how "good works" can possibly emanate from something that is not only inherently bad, but purposively opposed to God. The System works against all notions of man as a spiritual being; hence, any work within the System ultimately shares that perspective.

Really good post, Francis. System Christians have no spiritual understanding at all. They are just materialists with a religious colouring who think religion exists to make us better men whereas it exists to make us entirely new men. Their universal love just means acceptance of the world on its own terms while spiritual love means seeing the world in God's terms.

@ William - Yes, they appear to have given up entirely on the idea of "making entirely new men". As a result, the only way forward for them appears to be making a better world full of "better" men, all via the System. Naturally, this will only lead to "worse men" . . .

Most System Christians fall over themselves to be first in line justifying whatever evil morality is.being promoted (say liberal System Christians).

There are also some who at first scratch appear sound morally - mostly Catholics against abortion, etc. - but otherwise wholly support the system and materialistic, organized evil.

@ Andrew - Very true. The key is not to think about in terms of being inside or outside the System physically - because in everyone is inside the System in that regard.

The key is to accept that there is a big difference between believing the System is inherently good and necessary for the advancement of spiritual good, and recognizing that the System in its current form is inherently evil and calibrated to oppose all spiritual good.

I like the term System Christian. I call Churchianity, but in light of the past year, SC captures the essence better.

@ Doc - Thanks. I'm inclined to agree with Bruce above, but it's the only term I could think of to describe Christians who have 100% faith in the System.

Christian Non-Player Characters vs Christian Player Characters.

"In this sense, System Christians appear to have abandoned the divine potential within man; something they likely regard as noble, but unattainable."

I've fome to re-evaluate this line fro. the parable of the tares or rather Jesus' explanation of the parable of the tares:

Matthew 13:38 "The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;"

I used to reject this interpretation because it seemed like Calvinism, predestination. But now I accept it. Not Calvinism which posits that all men are born evil and only some are snapped out of it by a favortistic grace. But rather the realization that some people start off ontologically as children of God and others as children of the devil. God sowed his people into the world, and the devil did likewise. The latter are the so-called Non-player Characters, husks controlled by the devil himself.

It fits also with Matthew 12:35 "A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things."

Its not that all men are born evil as Calvinists say, nor that all are born good, nor that all are born neutral; rather some are ontologically good and some ontologically evil, because God sowed his people into the world (player characters) and the devil sowed his people into the world (non-player characters).

It just occurred to me that the idea I discovered in Matthew 13:38 and 12:35 aldo exists in the 4th Gospel. Namely John 10:26-28 "But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." There is this idea that one already is or is not Jesus' sheep before ever hearing of him. It fits perfectly with the claim of Matt 13:38 that God sowed his people into the world and so did the devil. It also fits with the modern diacovery of the non-player character who has no logic and is remote controlled by something else rather than having free will, i.e. the System Christian remote controlled by Satan.

@ jorgen b - "and is remote controlled by something else rather than having free will."

Yes, I would equate this with slavery consciousness, which I describe here:
