Big news!

Let's all recommit to the demonic system by getting really optimistic about the prospects of it turning around and being good again like it was in the good old days that none of us seem to personally remember.

@ Wm - Yes, it seems a lot of people are immune to learning from experience. If I were of a different tempermant, I'd probably be very depressed by that.

I interpret this optimism as being the fulfilment of my prediction that the increase of *evil* which is represented by ascent of Sorathic destruction to include the institutions of Ahrimanic totalitarianism --

would be wrongly interpreted as an increase of *good*, as if Ahrimanic-evil strategies of value-inversion imposed by The System, were voluntarily being abandoned by a resurgence of good-motivated people.

IMO What is happening is not an increase of good, but the rejection of one kind of evil in favour of another - and probably more extreme - kind of evil.

I don't see any resurgence of good. Indeed, those who misinterpret the reasons for the destruction of totalitarianism themselves seem to me often to have crossed the line towards joining *the other side* - or, at least, be hovering on that threshold.

Aside from the special case of the Fire Nation - I don't see anything to suggest the non-Western world, let alone the West itself, has been experiencing any kind of positive revolution in values.

@ Bruce - I agree on all fronts, especially the part about rejecting one kind of evil for another. People appear to be colorblind to the shades and hues of evil, and the System is very adept at producing shades and hues of evil. Current events are aleady beyond farcical, yet the optimism carries on regardless.
