Blogging Suspended -- Perhaps Indefinitely

I'm suspending my blogging to focus on other pursuits and responsibilities.

I'm not sure when or even if I will return to blogging.

Time will tell.

As of now, I anticipate at least a three-to-six month break.

Note added: The message above is quite cryptic. For the sake of clarity, I just want to reassure everyone that I am not in any sort of crisis. My decision to withdraw from the blog is based in something positive.

This is unexpected! The only online content I basically consume these days are the Romanic Christian blogs - I find everything else to just be noise and distraction.

Your vital contributions will certainly be missed. But as a substitute I will definitely be re-visiting your archives more often, in the meantime.

I hope you come back! But I understand the desire to take a long break and focus on other things. I just have an art page, not anywhere close to the time intensive blog you write, and I am fatigued. You will be GREATLY missed. Maybe I will see you in the comments on Bruce's page? Thanks for so many thought provoking pieces.

Even if you never blog again you have had an tremendous influence. At least with me. A utterly positive one because of the clarity and because this blog is about what really matters. I can't bring to mind all the examples. Recently you posted something like Being & Freedom are in Logos; they are intrinsic. Some years ago I would not have understood this. but now i do. And I am stronger at heart now.

I just looked at my big folder where i save posts I liked a lot, using print-to-PDF, and search titles for your last name. 55 files! the first was The Fallen Man 5/2019 - I don't know why I saved that. The second was "Old Leftists - Proof Against Wisdom With Age" 8/2019. Right then I was trying to understand babyboom leftists I knew (being baffled why they were so obtuse). I think it was after that I began appreciating the straight theology posts. Both the longer ones and the shorter ones, including the one about paintings. For example, looking at the list, "Revisiting the Triumph of the Genius of Destruction."

I was on a secular webboard some months ago and inspired partly by this blog I summoned up courage (for me) and posted something like: 'They don't want to force us to eat insects they want us to *choose* to eat them, because they want us to choose our own damnation". I was afraid of being mocked -especially about the word 'damnation'- but a handful of other posters said. 'yes, that is right'. Maybe just older conservatives. Still, I resist using words like damnation with secular people, afraid they will not understand.
