Salvo's metaphysics were not exactly my metaphysics, but he possessed a remarkable depth of knowledge when it came to metaphysical matters. He was an interesting and engaging writer, particularly when he concentrated on themes and topics I tend to ignore or neglect.
Salvo published his final post on April 11. A month or so later, I began to wonder why he was not showing up on the Synlogos feed, so I checked his site and found it inactive. Assuming he was taking a break, I left the site. I returned a few times over the summer. Still nothing.
When I went back to the site today, I took the time to read the comments on his last blog post, which is where I learned of his death.
Apparently, he died of something birdemic-related. His son will maintain the site.
