I didn't knowingly and intentionally lie! I was misled by the experts!*

These sorts of statements may become quite fashionable soon . . .

*Partly inspired by a chapter in Stephen Vizinczey's best novel An Innocent Millionaire in which Vizinczey incisively describes a common defense tactic that trial lawyers fall back upon when they find themselves facing accusations of perjury - "I wasn't lying! I was misled by my client."

They won't be able to hide the death and human suffering much longer. Rats, running from the ship, blaming everyone but themselves.

@ Dennis - Yes, which is unfortunate. Christ saves repentant sinners, not rats running from the ship blaming everyone but themselves. The best thing - the thing Christians should hope and pray for - would be repentance.

Imagine the spiritual implications of a high-ranking official or influential journalist genuinely repenting! For starters, it could open up the possibility for authentic forgiveness. This would not automatically absolve either the official or the journalist of the justice they should face, but still, the spiritual implications of genuine repentance would be a major victory for the side of Good.

Actually, They will - because all harm is relabeled as due to the birdemic itself - and would have been even-worse without the 'preventive measures'; and people are gullible and corrupted enough to believe Them - whatever lies they are currently spouting.
