Work has hindered my blogging this past week. I'm up to my eyeballs with no end in sight. All the same, I hope to get back to regular posting in the next couple of days.

@ Ron - Very good. Reminds me of another seafood gag:

A crab is eating potato chips. His friend the tuna asks if he can have some.

How do you "bless" a sodomite union? Can you "bless" a casino? A brothel?

Between Orthodoxy's irrevocably fractured communion and the Francis papacy, I'd say institutional Christianity really is done. It's been an amazing run.

I certainly wouldn't dissuade anyone from supporting a healthy parish with a pious priest, but simultaneously if that parish decides to go rogue and tells the bishop we're leaving and here are the keys, then I wouldn't deny their equal claim to the indwelling of the Holy Spirit either.

But wow, a two-thousand year old civilizational pillar, just gone. It's absolutely breathtaking.
