Dr. Charlton has written some excellent pieces recently about the meaning of Establishment language. In a September post he made the following observation:
When you hear a politician speak, read a press release or a media headline; you are not dealing with an attempt to communicate the truth about reality; you are dealing with language as calculated manipulation ('language' here including visual, symbolic, audio and other media).
Manipulation is language intended to shape attitudes, thought-processes and actions.
In a post from last week, Dr. Charlton added the insight that communication the Establishment peddles through the System intrinsically contains no information:
The correct inference concerning any specific communication from The System is therefore, quite simply, that: System statements contain zero information.
Yet we are almost all of us guilty of trying to sift truth; when the reality is that public discourse contains zero information.
How do we fall into this trap? By attempting to have discourse with liars!
The fact is that all discourse assumes a basic truthfulness - therefore, if we have discourse with liars, we must already have decided that they are basically truthful.
And when 'they' are Not basically truthful - but instead are merely manipulating us - then we have been sucked into their world-of-lies.
We have been trapped-into interacting with zero information!
Dr. Charlton's perceptive thoughts on the matter started me thinking about the role of time in the Establishment's endless ruse to manipulate with zero information. The manipulative power of nearly all the zero information the Establishment has "communicated" via the System concerning the birdemic has relied heavily on time. This is by no means an original or groundbreaking discernment in and of itself, but the Establishment's sustained and successful implementation of manipulation through a combination of no information + time does reveal a great deal about the state of the modern mind and spirit.
Time is an essential component of communication. Remove it from language and nearly all communication is rendered incomplete, opaque, and/or nonsensical. Time is also an essential component of manipulative communication. If you are able to convince people about what will happen tomorrow, you will likely succeed in influencing how they think and behave today. This works both in the positive sense and the negative sense. The future can be a bright place of promises and incentives, but it can also become a dreaded realm of danger and threats.
As I mentioned above, nearly everything the Establishment has communicated through the System has relied heavily on time as the key component of its "no information manipulation" -- starting from the infamous "two weeks to flatten" decree right up to the current threats of looming peck mandates. Most of the no information manipulation was rooted in actively instilling anxiety, fear, and terror. On the flip side, some offered soothing promises of guaranteed safety and security. Either way, all of the no information manipulation was geared exclusively toward manipulating people into believing something about the present in order to motivate them to act in a certain way in the future.
Once again, there is nothing new about what the Establishment has done and continues to do with its use of time in its no information manipulation. What makes what the Establishment has done and continues to do somewhat unique is the utter depth (or shallowness?) of its no information manipulation and the willingness of modern people to actively and continuously interact with the no information manipulation as if it were in fact authentic information communication.
In retrospect, the birdemic should never have happened. As I mentioned early on in 2020, it should have never made the news. A stable, grounded, well-motivated, long-termist, spiritualized society would never have allowed it to become news. But it did make the news. And once it made the news the "two weeks to flatten" manipulation took off.
After two weeks, the manipulation, should have ended. After two weeks, a less stable, but still fundamentally stable, grounded, well-motivated, long-termist, spiritualized society would have caught the manipulation and ended it.
But here we are, nearly a hundred weeks later, and our societies still haven't ended it.
I believe much of it comes down to how moderns perceive time. The modern mind's incomprehension of the reality of today mixed with the muddled dread of tomorrow. It seems as time has little meaning modern people beyond the System's no information manipulations of it.
Everything is not metered out in approaching short-term threats and incentives: "hard" deadlines, expiry dates, percentage promises, looming mandates, etc. -- all of which are based on nothing more than "no information manipulation".
System time is the only time moderns seem willing to tell or capable of telling, which might reveal something about why we remain mired in the birdemic long after the two weeks ended.
