The Greatest Totalitarian Coups Are The Ones That Don't Exist

The EU recently announced it would need around one trillion (twelve zeros) euros to pay for the economic fallout the birdemic crisis has caused. Well, I guess there's a price to be paid for locking the majority of the world population down for nearly two months. So, how will this price be paid?

Why through debt, of course! No big surprise there. But the debt being suggested now is not your average run-of-the-mill debt. No, this new-and-improved debt, and it is being explicitly marketed as 'perpetual' - and yes, that's a good thing. Just ask this Establishment frontman (warning: news-related link) extraordinaire; he'll be more than happy to provide details about the wonderful world of perpetual debt.

Most people believe they would recognize a totalitarian coup if it happened to them. I imagine they would regard soldiers marching through the streets endlessly stomping on people's faces as a sure sign of a hostile, authoritarian takeover. Some Stalinesque-looking, mustachioed strong man with countless military honors pinned on his chest demanding he be deified as an undisputed god-leader would probably also be a clear tip-off for most modern people as well.

Yes, these types of totalitarian coups have occurred in the past, but what we are witnessing now is a coup of a much subtler and far more sinister variety. Hate the mustached man all you want, but people tended to understand his in-your-face approach. Past dictators liked simplicity. Flagrancy marked everything they did. The tyranny they spawned was lucid and comprehensible. People generally knew what was going on - and they also knew where they stood.

The Establishment, our modern totalitarians and the governments they control, are also rather brazen, both in actions and in words, but unlike strongmen of the past, barely anyone seems cognizant of the ever-constricting tyranny the Establishment has implemented and is implementing around the world. This is rather curious, to say the least.

Healthy people are locked up within their homes for two months for public health reasons (figure that one out); barely anyone complains. Small businesses, family enterprises, entire industries are obliterated; barely anyone considers the obvious ramifications. The need for increased micro-surveillance and state intrusion into private lives is demanded; barely anyone resists. Churches in the West are shuttered; barely anyone - including most of the clery themselves - raises spiritual concerns. The entire planet is being primed and re-tooled for perpetual, enforced debt slavery; barely anyone raises an eyebrow, let alone anything else.

I guess most people won't notice anything until the soldiers and Big Brother show up. Without soldiers and Big Brother around, there's really nothing to worry about, is there? Thank goodness for democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.

You could argue that our contemporary totalitarians have learned a great deal from their predecessors; that they have mastered the art of the totalitarian coup to such an extent that barely anyone even noticed it when it occurred. Nevertheless, this unseen coup has much more to do with the general public's dullness than it does with the Establishment's ingenuity.

To me, it seems that modern people have become increasingly incapable of perceiving evil, even when it is staring them in the face.

In light of this, I suspect the Establishment must have binge-watched The Usual Suspects for years before they attempted this current coup. They must have. I mean they essentially made a mission statement of the film's most memorable line - "the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."

Well, mission accomplished.  On all counts.

When the government gives money (resources) it is really taking them from other people: coin clipping, printing paper money, just increasing the digital supply - they are just ways of stealing from some - or all - people to use the resources for their own ends.

I don't really believe in perpetual debt as a concept. In practice, I think it means stealing from people's savings, or pensions, or from their wages.

In effect, a vast dependent multi-national underclass has been created, overnight. The big question is whether They want all these declared-useless people to live (albeit at a very low level and doing nothing but 'shelter at home'), or whether Their plan is for them/us not to live at all.

And if Their idea is to keep everyone alive but at a very low level, reality may take over, if it turns out that this just is not physically possible in a world where nobody is allowed to do anything.

@ Bruce - Good points. Debt accumulation - both at the collective and at the individual level - is major component to every 'crisis' solution the Establishment puts forth. Yes, it's essentially stealing / resource plundering. Nearly all governments in the world are only to happy to offer up whatever resources their respective countries/unions still possess. Debt is a control mechanism - which prompts the question - who is buying up this debt? The answer is rather obvious - and that is where the totalitarianism comes in.

For a while I assumed the aim of the modern world was to lift people in underdeveloped/developing countries up to modern Western standards of living - despite the obvious consumption/pollution problems associated with lifting that many human beings up to Western standards. Now I see the opposite is appears to be the goal. People in underdeveloped regions may be allowed to come up a bit, but at the same time, people in the West will be driven down considerably. Debt plays a huge role in both cases.

These are all material considerations, but they have spiritual ramifications. As to whether the goal is to let life continue in some lower material level or simply allow conditions to deteriorate until staying alive itself becomes a struggle, my instincts tell me the Establishment would prefer the former, but their arrogance and hubris (and the incompetence/bungling/resistance of their less evil minions) might inadvertently bring about the latter.

Great post.
Money itself, and debt of course, is already a control mechanism. What need does a nomad or independent homesteader have for money?

I am guessing that the system will leave outliers like me, who intends to literally live off the grid as much as possible, alone. Because very few people will choose to do the kind of intense labor and work required to life simply. Ironically, such a life proves to be more meaningful to many who attempt it.

And if they don't want to allow me to live thus, I will not comply with their demands. The worst they can do is imprison me. But again, I suspect they only require the compliance of the masses, not romantic dissident outliers. Why make an example out of us?

Regardless, the system really is a matrix of control that starts within the individual's own psyche.

On Sunday, my brother asked me, ominously, "Are you going to take the vaccine?"
"What vaccine," I responded.
"The vaccine for the corona virus."
"It doesn't exist yet."
"It will."
"No, I never take the flu vaccine, and strangely, I never get the flu."

@ Jake - I believe System-distancing is crucial in this time and place. Maintaining a sense of separation from the System spiritually is the most vital aspect of this, and any material effort that can fortify or strengthen this should be undertaken if one has the means to do so.

Nevertheless, material System-distancing without spiritual System distancing is likely not very helpful (re: secular prepper types who build bunkers, etc.) because it focuses only on physical survival.

If history is any guide, people in rural areas are inherently less System-dependent than their urban counterparts. All the same, I am sure the System is keenly aware of this and will work hard to disrupt/destroy any independence or self-reliance people manage to establish. For example, the Bolsheviks waged ruthless campaigns against rural Russians and Ukrainians - a campaigns that included mass arrests and mass starvation (in the millions).

Physical survival is crucial, but it shouldn't be our sole focus. We must be open to the possibility that all our efforts to physically protect ourselves might prove futile. That doesn't mean we shouldn't make these efforts, only we shouldn't make these efforts at the expense of spiritual preparation. The spiritual level is really where the war is ultimately won or lost.

I agree absolutely. The two can and must go hand-in-hand. One should also prepare to help one's neighbors and cooperate. And prepare to show one's neighbors and family one's spiritual state by being unafraid and courageous in the face of social pressure to conform. Imagine how much better historical times such as the Bolshevik revolution would have gone if more people had stood up to nonsense and madness? Evidently, the people from the level of the elite on down lacked the spiritual awareness to stand up to "modern ideas" soon enough and strongly enough.

My desire to physically distance myself is largely based on spiritual concerns: a desire to be closer to nature, God and to not have intervening layers of technocratic evil constantly distracting me.

Everyone who saw this coming are having their "Soylent Green is people!" moment.

I've done my part trying to present my contrarian views to friends and family--to no avail. They are literally married to the Flu World Order agenda now and are so inured that they are making up their own facts in their head about the deadliness of the Birdemic. One friend even insists that the fatalities have already reached tens of millions worldwide.

They say I'm paranoid, but I'm not the one following every diktat of the oligarchs.

This weekend, I engaged in some civil disobedience and climbed under the caution tape to walk on the beach board walk. To my relief, bun not my surprise, many were doing so as well. I launched into a tirade about the obvious totalitarian agenda and was heartened by the fact that those who listened agreed.

There are signs of life yet, but there are still ghouls lurking who wish us dead for the crime of living like free human beings.

I have a feeling that before long I will have to pay the price for exercising my rights.

"I have a feeling that before long I will have to pay the price for exercising my rights."

Isn't there sort of a satisfaction in paying the price for things? I don't mean to be totally sardonic, but we really haven't "paid much of a price" for any of the degeneracy we all have let happen or participated in. The price will be paid, somehow.

The important thing is to stay the course on our spiritual journeys, and abide by the principles that we know in our inner hearts are true.

That said, good for you. I refuse to abide by any of these diktats.

@ Ingemar - I rarely speak about the birdemic to anyone anymore, to be honest. I listen to what people have to say. Usually they do not say much. Whatever they do say is rarely interesting.

The odd time I have expressed mild, suggestive contrarian views like - "I think they might be overdoing this lockdown business" - I usually get nothing but wide-eyed looks in return.

@ Jake - I know where you're coming from. I spent most of my adult life in big cities. Now I live in a small village of 650. Best decision I ever made.

For those like me, who almost missed it - kudos to Ingemar for coining (or perhaps devising) that phrase, novel to me: the Flu World Order!

I can't claim invention. Found it on social media.
