Guess which one proved to be right in the end in this particular case.
"With a sober peasant mind" is a common expression in Hungary. Sadly, when it comes to anything related to the birdemic, most Hungarians have lost their minds - sober peasant ones included. Of course, the same could be said of nearly any population anywhere in the world. But it wasn't always this way. The following clip provides a penetrating glimpse into the sober peasant mind in action against the persuasive arguments put forth by The Science. Guess which one proved to be right in the end in this particular case.

My 4 year old, who spent 1/4 of his breathing life under the abuse of medical tyranny until we fled it last fall, is a very keen observer of human behavior. He often asks questions about "why" that person/those people are doing something, usually related to our current covi-craziness. My answer is always " because the world has lost its mind".

@ Michelle - Nearly all hazardous materials were deemed safe at some point in the past. Some of this may be attributed to ignorance, neglect, error, "bad" science etc., but some can also be attributed to willful neglect, dishonesty, evil-intent, and the like. I believe agent orange is a clear example of the latter. I mean, the purpose for which it was utilized pretty much settles the matter. Time will reveal how our current crop of supposedly safe products will pan out . . .

When I was a boy, we used to ride our bikes behind the DDT trucks that would come through the neighborhood in the summertime. We'd tail them for blocks, breathing in the pretty white clouds of insecticide, our bare chests glistening with the stuff. Yes, it was great fun, and our parents all knew what we were doing.

S.K. - Yes, I was thinking of including a video featuring exactly what you described in your comment. Even in the best of circumstances, we often don't recognize or fully understand the potential dangers of our many chemicals, treatments, and medicines. The recognition of hazards usually require the passage of time. I wonder what the passage of time will reveal to us about current events.
