@ Ingemar - Whether we are feeling the wrath of God or whether God is just allowing free agency to play out could be debated, I suppose. Either way, we're rushing toward catastrophe - the kind of catastrophe Lady Akita prophesied. No doubt about that at all.

Such behaviour would seems to be overtly blasphemous, akin to a demon-worshipping 'black mass', in any person who began with a genuine Catholic faith. But I suspect that there always was insufficient faith in these people to understand what they are now doing. (Not that this lets them off the hook! Rather that their corruption has gone beyond old-style blasphemy into pure nihilistim - they believe in 'nothing' as the object of belief - as in Seraphim Rose's Nihilism - https://www.oodegr.com/english/filosofia/nihilism_root_modern_age.htm#IV.)
